UUSL Weekly Meditation Group
Every Tues. 6pm - 7:15pm
Our weekly meditation group is designed to help people begin and develop a personal meditation practice in a friendly, supportive and non-judgmental community. No experience is necessary. All are invited anytime.
We predominantly practice vipassana or “insight/mindfulness meditation” which is designed to sharpen awareness, and develop mindful and wholesome practices for daily living. This meditation technique is compatible with almost all spiritual, religious and ethical traditions. It is also beneficial to people with no spiritual or religious background.
Sessions will consist of a combination of sitting and walking meditations, sharing our experiences of our meditation practices and weekly discussions on a variety of topics related to mindfulness thought and ideas from meditation teachers from many different traditions.
Regular attendance is encouraged but not required. First timers are encourage to come ten minutes early for a quick briefing. We have chairs and some cushions available for the group to use or bring your own. Namasté
